Level 6 for 8 – 12 Year Olds
Astrid the Astronaut loves travelling to France to meet new friends. She is becoming a confident French speaker, and enjoys shopping trips with her family. She is ready to integrate advanced grammar and vocabulary into her day-to-day conversations.
About the Lessons
Based on the book “La Communication Progressive du Français”, children learn advanced grammar and vocabulary through the use of role play. They learn to speak in everyday situations such as going to supermarkets and restaurants, to help them speak the language abroad.
An example of role play is to go shopping. The children learn to ask for items, talk about quantities, ask for the prices, place an order, make a reservation and buy groceries.
During the lessons they watch a story and answer questions. They introduce grammar from the book “La Communication Progressive du Français” into their answers, helping to broaden their vocabulary and have day-to-day conversations in French.
